Who We Are:
The Otten brothers come from a family of 13 siblings. Kitchen and Bath have been a family affair for decades as the Otten family runs several successful Kitchen and Bath Businesses across the country. Renato and Tim grew up in the industry working in their older brothers' kitchen and bath shops.
The brothers learned about the industry from their brothers, but the most important lesson was that the business was not defined by the dollars but by how each team member was treated.
Renato and Tim Otten founded Select Surfaces in 2009 to create a business that would not only change the standard in our industry but would provide opportunities for the team and clients.

Field Measure Technician:
As a valued member of our production team, our field measure techs are often the first contact the end user(customer) has with our company. They have the opportunity to begin building the relationship that leads to a successful completion of the project. Our measure techs need to be able to communicate professionally about both the design and production details of each project. Candidates that have experience with project management, reading blueprints, architectural drafting, estimating or other types of construction management are encouraged to apply.
Overall Responsibility
Meet with designers, project managers and homeowners on-site to review design details and countertop selections. Produce accurate & precise templates using our digital templating software
Key areas of responsibility
- Review every detail of the job with our design contact
- Complete all order forms and create detailed drawings on-site.
- Use digital templating equipment and software to produce precise templates for fabrication.
- Work with Project managers & Production manager to ensure all design details are correct before fabrication begins.
Qualifications
- Construction industry experience desired
- Phototop or other digital templating experience is a plus
- Strong sense of customer service
- Effective communication skills
- State issued Driver's License and clean driving record
- Carpentry experience desired
- Attention to detail
