Job Title: Logistics Specialist / Logistics TechnicianLocation: Fremont, CA 94538Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1st shiftEmployment Type: Temporary to HirePay Rate: $21.45/hrHours Per Week: 40Job Summary:The Logistics Specialist/Technician will support the logistics team to maintain high standards in safety, quality, accuracy, productivity, and timeliness. This role includes receiving, transferring, packaging, and palletizing materials, as well as performing ERP (SAP HANA) transactions, shipping and receiving operations, and maintaining inventory control. The ideal candidate works independently, efficiently handles multiple tasks, and ensures operational excellence while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Uphold a culture of safety: "Do It Safely, Do It Right the First Time."Observe, identify, and report unsafe conditions and behaviors; participate in monthly safety meetings.Receive, transfer, and store shipments; package and palletize products efficiently.Prepare cylinders for shipment, including removing old labels, inspecting, wrapping, labeling per Air Liquide and D.O.T. requirements, barcode scanning, and loading on pallets.Perform shipping and receiving transactions in ERP (SAP HANA), ensuring accuracy of all data.Prepare shipping documentation in compliance with company policies and D.O.T regulations.Coordinate with carriers and internal departments for delivery and pickup of materials.Operate forklifts and load/unload trucks and sea containers, adhering to IMO, IMDG, and customs requirements.Maintain inventory control records and perform cycle counts.Conduct inspections of material handling equipment and escalate safety or quality concerns.Maintain a clean, secure, and organized warehouse environment.Complete all assigned training and comply with OSHA, MSDS, and company safety standards.Perform physical tasks including rolling cylinders, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders as needed.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED.Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, and inventory management.Ability to roll cylinders weighing up to 200 lbs.Certified forklift operator.Knowledge of chemical and compressed gas hazards.Strong customer service orientation.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).Knowledge of SAP HANA or other ERP systems preferred.Understanding of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.Good communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams.Experience with IMO, AES, and ISF filing is a plus.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and roll cylinders.Ability to climb ladders and move around a large warehouse for extended periods.Manual dexterity for keying in data for long periods.Must be clean-shaven and pass respiratory and physical tests as required for full-face respirator use.Work Conditions:Fast-paced warehouse environment.Maintain clean, organized, and secure work areas.Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.May be required to work overtime periodically.Additional Information:SAP experience preferred but not required.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Company DescriptionSelect Source International (SSI) is a distinguished staffing company with nearly 25 years of experience, renowned for delivering top-tier workforce solutions encompassing staffing, recruiting, and managed services.
