Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Jackson, MI
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Schedule: Weekend and holiday availability required
Overtime: Paid after 40 hours worked per week
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for critically ill patients while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ICU patients
Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and treatment responses
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including ventilators and infusion pumps
Respond to emergency situations and participate in code and rapid response events
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans and care needs
Follow facility policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum Two Years Of ICU Experience
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center
Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
