Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Shift hours:  6:00 PM – 6:30 AM & 6am-630pm available (3 days/week) every other weekend

Description:
Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Patient Registration Representative will follow standard operating procedures for all bedside and front-desk patient registration activities. This includes patient reception, face-to-face check-in, pre-registration, insurance eligibility verification, and cash collections.

The role also involves handling inquiries, updating patient information, and providing excellent customer service while acting as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform patient registration and update demographic and insurance information

Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments when required

Handle inbound inquiries from patients, visitors, and staff

Advocate for patients to ensure their needs are met

Deliver exceptional customer service across phone, in-person, and written interactions

Maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Required Skills & Experience:

1 year of experience in patient registration, admitting, or insurance verification (hospital or medical office setting preferred)

Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable standing for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EPIC systems

Knowledge of insurance payor systems

Familiarity with ICD-10 medical terminology

Education:

High School Diploma (required)
