Operating within a fast-paced trading environment, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Trading, Technology, Data Science, and Risk & Control functions, while maintaining regular engagement with senior leadership. The position primarily supports U.S. operations and contributes to global risk initiatives in partnership with teams across Europe and APAC.
- Review and assess second-line reporting on control frameworks, providing constructive feedback and recommendations.
- Conduct control assurance and risk-based evaluations of critical business and technology processes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business units, promoting effective operational risk management practices.
- Lead and support incident reviews, including trend analysis and remediation planning.
- Perform risk assessments to identify emerging risks and evaluate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver periodic management reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Operational Risk, Internal Audit, Compliance, or related second-line roles.
- Background in financial services or trading environments, with foundational knowledge of markets and products.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with U.S. regulatory frameworks (e.g., FINRA, SEC).
- Prior experience in trading (market making, algorithmic trading, or proprietary trading) strongly preferred.
- Understanding of regulatory standards and operational risk considerations for trading firms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
