A leading global independent investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its Restructuring team. The group advises corporates, creditors, financial sponsors, and other stakeholders on complex restructurings, liability management transactions, and distressed M&A.
- Support execution of in-court and out-of-court restructurings, recapitalizations, and distressed mergers & acquisitions
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including 3-statement models, liquidity forecasts, recovery analyses, and valuation analyses
- Prepare marketing materials and client presentations, including pitch books, creditor presentations, and board materials
- Conduct industry, company, and capital structure analysis to inform transaction strategy
- Assist in negotiating and structuring transactions with creditors, sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage internal and external workstreams (legal, accounting, and advisory teams)
- Monitor ongoing restructuring situations and distressed markets to generate ideas and support business development initiatives
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, restructuring, private credit, leveraged finance, or restructuring advisory
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital structures, and distressed investing concepts
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills (including experience with complex capital structures)
- High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in restructuring, distressed situations, and special situations investing
Salary : $175,000 - $225,000
