Role Overview
The firm is seeking a finance professional to take ownership of its trader and portfolio manager compensation function. This role will be responsible for interpreting complex compensation arrangements, managing compensation calculations, maintaining compensation models, and serving as a key business partner to finance leadership and investment professionals.While the position will also support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting initiatives, the primary focus is the administration, analysis, and oversight of PM and trader compensation programs.
Responsibilities
- Own the firm's trader and portfolio manager compensation process.
- Interpret and model complex compensation agreements and incentive structures.
- Calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation accruals and payouts.
- Maintain compensation databases, models, and reporting tools.
- Partner with finance, accounting, and business leadership on compensation-related analyses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A initiatives.
- Assist with year-end audits and compensation-related reporting requirements.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing, calculating, or analyzing portfolio manager and/or trader compensation within a hedge fund, asset manager, proprietary trading firm, or similar investment organization.
- Demonstrated experience translating compensation agreements into financial models and payout calculations.
- Deep understanding of investment management compensation structures and incentive plans.
- Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Experience leveraging and manipulating large datasets for compensation reporting and analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with finance and investment teams.
Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
