Director, Product & Platform Manager - Risk & Liquid Financing | New York City A leading global financial institution is seeking a Director-level Product & Platform Manager to join its Liquid Financing business - a multi-asset, cross‑product platform spanning traditional securities financing, Delta One, synthetic financing, and prime services. This rapidly expanding global franchise integrates Equities, Fixed Income Financing, Repo, Swaps, and Delta One into a cohesive client offering focused on capital efficiency, risk optimization, and cutting‑edge product innovation.This newly created leadership role sits within the Liquid Finance Risk organization, partnering directly with the Global Head of Liquid Finance Risk to build and execute a comprehensive product and platform strategy across credit, counter party credit, market, and liquidity risk. With an ambitious AI road map underway - this function is central to transforming the firm's risk management capabilities.You will lead the development of the global operating model for this risk platform, support mission‑critical margin management initiatives, and drive adoption of proprietary products. This role collaborates closely with trading, risk, technology, AI/ML teams, and other product leads.What You'll DoOwn and execute the global product & platform strategy for Liquid Finance Risk, partnering closely with the Global Head of Liquid Finance Risk.Lead product design, transformation, and operating‑model buildout for a risk function covering credit risk, counter party credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, and margin management.Drive AI‑enabled risk capabilities, including detection models and proactive risk‑monitoring tools.Support and enhance the margin and collateralization framework across financing businesses, ensuring clients are appropriately collateralized from both a prime services and risk‑control perspective.Partner with product leads to deliver unified, scalable, cross‑asset risk solutions.Work across three major risk modules:Traditional Risk Management, Liquidity Market Risk, and Central Risk.Build and lead a newly formed team, while influencing a broad virtual team across regions.Engage with stakeholders across trading, risk, technology, operations, and quantitative modeling.Serve as a senior thought partner to the business on risk innovation, collateral strategy, and cross‑product risk architecture.What We're Looking For15 years of product management, risk product ownership, or platform leadership experience in financial services.Deep expertise in counter party credit risk, liquidity risk, and familiarity with market risk frameworks.Strong content knowledge across fixed income and equities.Experience in synthetic financing, margin methodologies, prime services, or cross‑product risk platforms is highly advantageous.Demonstrated ability to transform organizations, build operating models, and establish new product frameworks in previously unstructured environments.Experience working with or overseeing AI/ML‑driven risk tools (e.g., anomaly detection, predictive risk analytics).Strong cross‑functional leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across trading, risk, technology, and quant teams.Ability to manage both direct and matrixed teams across global financial hubs.Company DescriptionOperating as part of Phaidon International, Selby Jennings is a multi-award winning global recruitment organization focused on servicing the financial industry.By breaking down financial markets into individual niches and micro-specialisms, Selby Jennings powers a knowledge-led model, delivering global solutions into local markets.
