Director, Capital Raising & Investor Relations (Private Wealth)
About the Role
We're partnering with a fast‑growing alternative investment manager in the private energy space to hire a Director of Capital Raising & Investor Relations. The platform builds annual vintage funds and focuses on private wealth channels -HNW, family offices, RIAs, and private banks. This is not a "dial‑for‑dollars" role; it's a trusted‑advisor mandate with real ownership over strategy, relationships, and communications.
Responsibilities- Raise capital across HNW, family office, RIA, and private wealth platforms; open new doors while deepening existing channels.
- Own IR: deliver clear updates, manage reporting and investor materials, and serve as day‑to‑day point of contact.
- Run the engine: maintain CRM/pipeline discipline, coordinate diligence and onboarding, and keep the investor portal current.
- Know the market: track peers, capital flows, and allocator preferences; refine positioning and messaging accordingly.
- Master the product: communicate the why behind the strategy to sophisticated private‑wealth allocators.
- 10 years of fundraising, investor relations, capital formation experience across private wealth channels.
- Meaningful experience raising from private wealth channels (HNW, family offices, RIAs, private banks).
- Strong communicator who can translate complex strategies into clear, investor‑friendly narratives.
- Organized, responsive, and comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor's required; advanced degree or relevant credential (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
- Sector knowledge in alternatives/real assets/energy is helpful but not required.
