Account Manager/ Account Executive

A growing commercial insurance brokerage is hiring for both Account Manager and Account Executive opportunities to support a diverse portfolio of middle market and large commercial clients. The firm provides customized risk management and insurance solutions to businesses across a wide range of industries, with a strong focus on relationship-driven service and long-term client retention.

Depending on experience level, responsibilities may range from day-to-day account management and policy servicing to leading client strategy, overseeing renewals, and mentoring junior team members.

This role will be hybrid in Schaumburg, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop relationships with commercial insurance clients, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the policy life cycle.
• Develop and execute renewal and marketing strategies while identifying opportunities to strengthen client insurance programs.
• Explain coverages, review policies, analyze risk exposures, and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
• Lead or participate in client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning discussions.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal service teams to ensure seamless policy administration and client support.
• Assist with renewals, proposals, reporting, certificates, endorsements, audits, and other account management functions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional service and contribute to long-term client retention and growth.

Requirements:

• Active Property & Casualty license.
• 5 years of commercial insurance experience for Account Manager candidates; 7 years for Account Executive candidates.
• Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages across multiple lines of business.
• Experience managing client relationships, renewals, and insurance program strategy.
• Ability to communicate complex coverage concepts clearly and effectively.
• Client-focused, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with a willingness to mentor and support team members.
