Duties
- Plan and deliver energetic gymnastics lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels, ensuring safety and fun at all times
- Demonstrate proper techniques for tumbling, balance beam routines, vaulting, and other gymnastic activities while providing clear instructions
- Monitor participants’ progress, offering constructive feedback to encourage improvement and confidence
- Manage behavior effectively by implementing positive reinforcement strategies and maintaining a respectful environment
- Incorporate related activities such as cheerleading, climbing exercises, or martial arts like karate or judo to diversify class offerings
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including equipment checks and proper supervision during activities
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to organize special events, competitions, or themed classes that enhance participant engagement
Experience
- Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is highly desirable
- Experience working with children in childcare settings or educational environments demonstrates strong behavior management skills
- Proven ability to motivate students of diverse ages and skill levels while maintaining a safe environment
- Certification in first aid or CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
