Job Summary:
Seidel Schroeder seeks a dedicated Tax Associate to support senior leaders, ensuring exceptional service and proactive client care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Proficiently prepares and completes tax returns for both individuals and businesses with effectiveness and accuracy.
- Applies logical thinking in tax recording and ensures complete data collection.
- Understands state taxation and identifies client tax needs for optimal solutions.
- Consults with management for effective resolution of client issues.
- Stays updated with industry publications for industry-relevant knowledge.
- Ensures strict client confidentiality and professionalism while efficiently addressing and resolving client complaints, while also fostering rapport through external relationship-building and observation of senior interactions.
- Recognizes business opportunities and networking abilities within the Alliance.
- Initiates efforts for self-study and personal development.
- Proficiently uses firm software and demonstrates strong tax understanding.
Skills/Abilities:
- Able to perform such other duties as may be assigned.
- Able to perform tax research projects requiring some expertise.
- Utilizes effective communication skills, engaging intelligently with clients and staff. Understands proposal processes, competitors, firm's products/services, and client profiles.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a degree in another discipline with various course works in taxes and accounting, through intermediate level preferred.
- Experience working in a professional office is preferred but not required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America
- Ability to work overtime during certain seasonal periods.
