Position Summary:We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Parts Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist customers with identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories while providing excellent service and technical expertise. This role supports both retail customers and internal service technicians to ensure accurate and timely parts fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers (in-person and by phone) and provide friendly, professional assistance.
Identify the correct parts and accessories using catalogs, databases, and customer information.
Create parts quotes, process orders, and provide pricing and availability.
Communicate with service technicians to ensure accurate parts requirements for repairs.
Maintain knowledge of current parts inventory, warranties, and return policies.
Monitor special orders and follow up with customers on order status.
Maintain organized parts displays, bins, and stockroom areas.
Assist with inventory counts, receiving shipments, and stocking shelves.
Upsell related parts, accessories, and services when appropriate.
Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Parts Counter person, or related automotive role preferred.
Strong understanding of automotive systems and components.
Proficiency with parts catalog systems and dealership management software (dealertrack)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
