Job description:
Litigation Paralegal needed for small downtown Charleston civil litigation law firm. Preferred candidate must have paralegal certificate and should have minimum two years of related paralegal experience with strong personal skills and team player. Great opportunity for right candidate with established Charleston law firm.
Experience needed:
Paralegal certificate required. Prefer two or more years of litigation experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Transcription
- File motions, notice depositions, draft subpoenas, and other litigation and trial support
- Maintain/monitor dockets and scheduling orders
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, Time Matters, TABS and other legal software programs
- Familiarity with State and Federal Courts and e-filing processes
- Familiar with discovery tasks and trial preparation
- Able to handle large document production cases for a busy team
