What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Investment Analyst – Private Asset Team position at SEI1GLOBAL?
SEI is seeking a motivated investment professional to join our Private Asset Team. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established firm with a growing alternatives platform.
The Private Asset Team manages over $5 billion in assets across private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure. The Private Asset Team invests in these strategies through primary fund commitments, secondary investments, and co-investments. SEI manages traditional private equity fund-of-funds and separate accounts along with open-ended real estate and infrastructure funds on behalf of its outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) clients.
This position will support the senior investment professionals in sourcing, underwriting, investing, and monitoring investments across the private asset portfolio.
A minimum of two years of private asset investment experience is required for this role. Candidates without prior private asset investment experience will not be considered.
This is not a remote position. Candidates will be expected to work in the Oaks, PA office up to five days per week.
What you will do:
Quantitative and qualitative due diligence on prospective investments across private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure
Creating and maintaining Microsoft Excel models related to investment due diligence
Performing valuation analyses for co-investments
Participating in the writing and creation of investment theses
Presenting investment opportunities to the senior Private Asset team and Investment Committee
Scheduling and coordinating prospective manager meetings and reference calls
Creating quarterly client update reports and presentations
Supervising and training a team of Analysts
Monitoring of existing investments and underlying portfolio companies
Conducting industry research
Maintaining data in investment monitoring platform for existing investments
Ad hoc projects
What you bring to the table:
CFA and/or CAIA preferred
Minimum of two years of private asset investing experience is required
Strong business writing skills and past experience creating investment memorandum for Investment Committees
Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30% of the time
