What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at SEI1GLOBAL?
The Revenue team within the Corporate Accounting group is responsible for the following:
Revenue recognition and reporting across all business segments
Maintenance of all revenue and billing systems
Client billing and Accounts Receivable management
Internal control compliance for all revenue processes
The Staff Accountant will be involved in the monthly invoicing and close process across various SEI business units. The Staff accountant will be working with various accounting and billing systems on a monthly basis. The Revenue team uses various fee billing and revenue systems to calculate the monthly revenue and create monthly and quarterly invoices for clients.
What you will do:
Work with the monthly and quarterly invoicing processes
Review and track client contract changes.
Follow up with various internal teams to make sure invoices are approved
Cash applications as necessary
Follow up on aged receivables
Handle various monthly close responsibilities
Record monthly journal entries and provide revenue analysis
Reconciliations of related revenue and balance sheet accounts at month end
Maintain and update procedures and SOX narratives for assigned business processes
Work with auditors throughout the year on various requests
What we need from you:
The successful candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
A minimum of 3 years of experience (accounting or finance / business)
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
Experience with Revenue Billing systems (we utilized Fiserv’s Advantage Fee and Broadridge’s Revport systems)
Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
Strong technical skills and experience working with various accounting systems
Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through with goals and objectives
Ability to develop and manage successful internal and external relationships
