Registered Architect / Future Ownership Opportunity
Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced registered architect to join the firm with the potential to transition into an ownership or partnership role.
This is an opportunity for an architect who wants greater autonomy, direct client relationships, and the chance to help lead the next chapter of an established practice. They have built a strong reputation through long-standing client relationships and repeat business, with projects generally ranging from $500,000 to $3 million.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will eventually be capable of managing all aspects of an architecture practice, including:
- Developing new business and maintaining client relationships
- Meeting with clients and identifying project opportunities
- Leading projects from concept through construction completion
- Preparing construction documents, specifications, and bidding packages
- Providing construction administration and attending project meetings
- Managing project schedules, budgets, and client expectations
- Working on private, educational, state and local government, and HUD projects
- Participating in office operations, staffing, and business decisions
- Taking increasing responsibility for the firm's overall management and future
Qualifications
- Registered/licensed architect
- Strong project management and client relationship skills
- Experience taking projects through design, bidding, and construction
- Strong knowledge of construction documents and specifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in business leadership
- Public-sector experience is a plus
- Licensure in multiple states is a plus
