Warehouse Receiver
Location: Hammond, Wisconsin
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Typical full-time receiving shifts may include:
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 7:00 AM start (approx. 10-hour shifts)
- Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 6:00 AM start (approx. 10-hour shifts)
Shift end times vary depending on workload and incoming shipments.
Job Summary
The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments of fresh produce and warehouse supplies. This position ensures that products are accurately counted, inspected for quality, and properly stored within the warehouse to maintain inventory accuracy and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload inbound shipments of fruits, vegetables, and other products.
- Verify product counts, quality, and documentation against purchase orders or delivery paperwork.
- Inspect products for damage, spoilage, or quality issues and report discrepancies.
- Use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or RF scanners to move and store inventory.
- Label, stage, and organize product in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in warehouse management systems.
- Follow food safety and warehouse safety procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized receiving areas and assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to lift 35–50 lbs frequently during the shift.
- Comfortable working in a cool warehouse environment (approximately 35–50°F) used for fresh produce storage.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
- Basic computer or warehouse system skills preferred.
- Ability to pass required background and pre-employment screenings.
