Position: Material Handler
Work Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN
Pay Rate: $20.35 per hour
Shift Information
- Training Schedule: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Upon Hire: Transition to 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Job Summary
SEEK Careers/Staffing is hiring reliable and hardworking Material Handlers for a leading manufacturing and distribution facility in Inver Grove Heights. Essential Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided if applicable).
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain accurate inventory using scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform general warehouse duties and assist with other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive work ethic.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Flexibility to transition from first shift during training to second shift after permanent hire.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting.
- Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
