Position: Machine Loader and Unloader
Hours: 2nd Shift, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary:
The Machine Loader and Unloader is responsible for safely and efficiently loading raw plastic materials into manufacturing machines and unloading finished or semi-finished products. This role supports production operations by ensuring machines are properly supplied and maintained, and by handling materials according to company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload finished or partially finished plastic products from machines and place them in designated areas for inspection, packaging, or further processing.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure smooth and continuous production.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, material issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Clean and maintain work area, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep accurate records of materials used, products produced, and machine downtime.
- Assist in packaging, labeling, or stacking of finished goods as needed.
- Perform routine checks to verify material types and quantities match production specifications.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or plastics environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical processes.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work Conditions:
