Machine Operator

Position: Machine Loader and Unloader

Hours: 2nd Shift, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour 

Job Summary:

 The Machine Loader and Unloader is responsible for safely and efficiently loading raw plastic materials into manufacturing machines and unloading finished or semi-finished products. This role supports production operations by ensuring machines are properly supplied and maintained, and by handling materials according to company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload finished or partially finished plastic products from machines and place them in designated areas for inspection, packaging, or further processing.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure smooth and continuous production.
• Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, material issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Clean and maintain work area, tools, and equipment to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Keep accurate records of materials used, products produced, and machine downtime.
• Assist in packaging, labeling, or stacking of finished goods as needed.
• Perform routine checks to verify material types and quantities match production specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or plastics environment is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic understanding of machinery and mechanical processes.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Conditions:

• Work is typically performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, heat, and plastic fumes.
• Requires the use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
