Trailer Mechanic- Direct Hire Opportunity!
Excellent 1st shift opportunity in Winnebago County for an experienced trailer mechanic. This direct hire opportunity will offer you room for growth and advancement, while working in a great team environment.
Position – Trailer Mechanic
Starting Date – Immediate
Employment Term – Direct hire
Employment Type – Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) – 1st shift (6:00AM- 2:30PM)
Starting Pay – dependent on experience, $18-$25 per hour
Benefits – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Referral Bonus
Required Education – High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience – At least 2 years of experience
As a trailer mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs, as well as completing preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Performing DOT inspections on trailers
- Utilizing tools including calipers, pressure gauges, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, brakes, welding and wood working
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a trailer mechanic or relevant industry experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good mechanical aptitude is a must!
