About the Company
Our client is a well-established manufacturing facility specializing in precision metal handling products and custom foundry feeding aids. They take pride in hands-on craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and building tools and processes that keep production running efficiently.
Why This Role Matters
This is a key position on the floor. As the Tooling Lead, you’ll own the performance and reliability of production tools while helping improve and standardize tooling processes. Your work plays a direct role in production efficiency, product quality, and overall workflow.
What You’ll Do
- Build, repair, and modify production tooling using welding, soldering, grinding, fitting, and assembly
- Develop and standardize tooling designs to improve consistency and performance
- Troubleshoot recurring tooling issues and implement long-term solutions
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure tools remain reliable and production-ready
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with production teams
- Support new tooling projects and assist with overtime needs when required
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on fabrication experience
- Ability to diagnose issues and implement practical, lasting solutions
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
