Position – Sachet Operator (Operator 2)

Job Location – Menomonie, WI

Starting Date – Immediate

Employment Term – Long-Term Temporary to Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) – Train on 1st Shift for approximately 2 months before transitioning to 2nd Shift

1st Shift Training – Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

2nd Shift – Monday-Thursday, 4:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m.

Starting Pay – $19.50 per hour on 1st Shift; $20.50 per hour on 2nd Shift; additional $2.00 per hour increase upon permanent hire

Required Education – High School Diploma or equivalent required

Required Experience – Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience with strong mechanical aptitude preferred

Position Summary

As a Sachet Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, tearing down, and cleaning production equipment used in the manufacturing and packaging of animal health and nutritional products.

This is more than a basic machine-tending position. You will need strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, good documentation skills, and the ability to recognize and respond to equipment or production issues. The ideal candidate is a dependable, self-sufficient go-getter who takes ownership of their work and can adapt as production needs change.

You will initially train on 1st shift for approximately two months before transitioning to a Monday-Thursday 2nd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sachet production equipment
• Monitor equipment and production throughout each run
• Troubleshoot machine and production issues as needed
• Perform machine tear down and cleaning
• Complete batch records, production logs, and required paperwork accurately
• Follow Good Documentation Practices
• Make equipment adjustments and adapt to changing production needs
• Transfer product to the warehouse using manual and electric pallet jacks
• Routinely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Assist in other production areas, including capsules and packaging, during equipment downtime
• Follow established safety, quality, sanitation, and production procedures
• Help train future operators on equipment and processes
• Work early or stay late when needed to meet production demands

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Stable and relevant work history
• Strong mechanical aptitude required
• Previous machine operation, equipment setup, manufacturing, or related experience preferred
• Comfortable troubleshooting production equipment
• Self-sufficient with the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to accurately complete batch records, logs, and other production documentation
• Ability to follow Good Documentation Practices
• Flexible and able to adapt as production needs change
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks
• Willingness to assist in other production areas when needed
• Dependable with a positive, get-it-done attitude
• Must be able to work both the 1st shift training schedule and permanent 2nd shift schedule
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check

Shift & Training Expectations

This position requires availability for both 1st and 2nd shift schedules.

You will begin by training on 1st Shift, Monday-Friday from 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for approximately two months.

After training, you will transition to 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday from 4:00 p.m.-2:30 a.m.

Candidates must be committed to transitioning to 2nd shift after completing training. Occasional early starts or extended hours may also be required based on production and business needs.

Work Environment

You will work in an active manufacturing environment producing and packaging animal health and nutritional products. This position combines machine operation, mechanical troubleshooting, documentation, material handling, equipment cleaning, and general production responsibilities.

During equipment downtime, you may be asked to assist in other production areas, including capsules and packaging.

Cell phones are not permitted in the production area and must be left in your vehicle during the workday.
