POSITION – Dry Mix Operator

JOB LOCATION – Menomonie, Wisconsin

STARTING DATE – Immediately

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Short-Term or Long-Term

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday plus OT when required often with short notice) *schedules may vary due to business needs

STARTING PAY – $19.50/per hour

REQUIRED EDUCATION – HSD/GED or equivalent required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting is desired, demonstrating familiarity with operational procedures and machinery, must be comfortable wearing a respirator

Employees will aid in the manufacturing of animal supplemental products and may take a supervisory role and ensure production runs smoothly. Employees may also perform quality checks and clean and maintain production equipment.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:

• Operate various equipment including injection molds, hot extrusion machines, labelers, etc., ensuring production meets business requirements.
• Keep equipment area clear of unnecessary products and sanitize machinery and contact surfaces before and after production.

Production Process:

• Load materials into hoppers during production and communicate any machine issues promptly with the maintenance team.
• Set up machines according to Batch Record specifications, completing necessary checklists and paperwork accurately.
• Monitor and adjust production processes as needed, ensuring adherence to standards and making necessary documentation such as Batch Records, logs, and forms.
• Weigh and verify raw materials accurately, transferring them to the weigh area and setting up batches per Batch Records.
• Assist in transferring weighed batches to appropriate staging areas.
• Verify all weighed raw materials in the mix room, assisting in the mixing process of dry powders.
• Support in packaging and labeling finished goods products.

Quality Assurance:

• Verify metal detectors and document checks as necessary, ensuring all guards are in place during production.
• Conduct double checks on packaging materials and products for accuracy before and during production.

General Labor and Support:

• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs continuously and perform all general labor duties as required.
• Assist in other duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English, with basic math skills.
• Able to work in various temperature ranges and maintain legible handwriting.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Must be able to wear a respirator and be willing to be clean shaven
