Material Handler

Schedule:
Shift 1 = Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 7:00 AM–7:15 PM every other Wednesday, 7:00 AM–7:15 PM
Shift 3 = Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:15 PM every other Wednesday, 7:00 AM–7:15 PM
Pay: $18.50/hour

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience: Previous material handling, warehouse, forklift or manufacturing experience preferred
You will support both production and warehouse operations by moving raw materials and finished products, supplying production equipment, preparing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping material handling systems operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Supply production equipment with the correct raw materials, resins, and colorants
- Mix resins and colorants according to production specifications
- Safely transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts, order selectors, and hand or powered pallet jacks
- Stock finished products and rotate inventory as needed
- Pull and stage materials needed for production
- Prepare outgoing shipments according to customer instructions
- Label, scan, shrink-wrap, and palletize finished products
- Verify incoming raw materials and quantities
- Complete material labels, logs, and inventory records accurately
- Monitor the central material handling system for proper operation
- Clean hoppers, dryers, grinders, filters, and other material handling equipment
- Identify and address material flow or contamination concerns
- Stage materials for the incoming shift
- Maintain an organized and safe warehouse and production environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous material handling, warehouse, forklift, shipping, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift
- Basic math and computer skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Comfortable operating material handling equipment in narrow spaces
- Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and an overhead crane as required
- Strong commitment to attendance, workplace safety, and following procedures
Work Environment
This position works in an active manufacturing and warehouse environment and requires frequent movement of materials throughout the facility. You will work around production equipment and regularly use material handling equipment. The role requires standing and moving throughout a 12-hour shift, lifting up to 55 lbs., and working both independently and as part of the production team.
