About You

What You'll Do
As our Lead Optician, you'll be at the heart of our patient experience, responsible for:
- Selling Premium Eyewear: Skillfully selling high-quality glasses and contact lenses while effectively educating patients on their options.
- Expert Fittings: Masterfully fitting, adjusting, and dispensing glasses to ensure optimal comfort and vision.
- Inventory Management: Quickly becoming familiar with our optical inventory and products to provide the most appropriate selections, and participating in the stocking and processing of items into our EHR system.
- Order Ownership: Taking ownership of ordering and verifying with the lab on all optical orders, ensuring order processing is timely and passes appropriate inspection prior to dispensing.
- Frame Selection & Relationships: Assisting patients with frame selection and building strong relationships with a variety of frame representatives.
- Insurance Navigation: Verifying insurances and accurately interpreting benefits from a wide range of medical and vision plans.
- Billing: Submitting and handling all claims to vision insurance companies in a timely manner.
- Practice Support: Assisting with answering phones, scheduling patients, answering general questions, and enthusiastically supporting other tasks that boost office efficiency and promote practice growth.
- Growth & Promotion: Playing a key role in the promotion and growth of the practice, demonstrating a true desire and investment in its long-term success.
Candidate Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in the optical field.
- A state optical license is highly preferred.
- Familiarity working with many vision and medical plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Availability to work full-time, including Saturdays.
- Passion for learning and adapting in a variety of situations.
- Experience with Revolution EHR software is a plus.
- Must provide references.
