HVAC Technician
A growing and well-established mechanical services company is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join its team in the New Haven, CT area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial and/or residential HVAC systems. We are looking for dependable technicians who take pride in their work, provide excellent customer service, and can diagnose and resolve HVAC issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and service calls
- Identify mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Install, replace, and service HVAC components and equipment as needed
- Read and interpret equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers and management
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Provide professional, courteous customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- HVAC service experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Knowledge of heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- EPA certification is a plus
- Connecticut HVAC license or applicable certifications are a plus
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
