Overview:
We’re hiring a Commercial Plumbing Estimator / Project Manager to join a growing and well-established contractor in the Waterbury, CT area. This is a dual-role position ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can accurately estimate projects, manage timelines, and drive successful job execution from bid through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate estimates and bids for commercial plumbing projects
- Review plans, specs, and drawings to determine scope and costs
- Manage awarded projects from kickoff to closeout
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Track budgets, schedules, and job progress to ensure profitability
- Handle submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
- Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams
Qualifications:
- 3–7 years of experience in commercial plumbing estimating and/or project management
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
