We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the billing and collections process. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting the financial health of the organization through effective receivables management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and distribute customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms.
- Record and apply incoming payments to customer accounts accurately.
- Monitor accounts for overdue balances and initiate collection efforts as needed.
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports and other financial summaries for internal use.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Sales, Customer Service) to ensure billing accuracy and resolve disputes.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.
- Update and distribute monthly independent rep commission reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
