- Assists in the supervision of the overall efficiency of dining rooms, Pantries and Kitchen.
- Assists in the supervision, scheduling and training and gives input with evaluating, and disciplining of health center Dining Services staff. Maintains effective communication with managers, fellow supervisors, subordinates and all other co-workers.
- Ensures proper portioning of foods, attractive plate presentation and service of required diets for meals, nourishments and snacks. Also includes set up of special resident and staff functions.
- Assists in supervising opening and closing of dining service operation.
- Ensure company standards for an appropriately staffed, operational and stocked dining room.
- Assists in the supervision of organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading dock.
- High school diploma/GED or the equivalent education, training and experience
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience in food service (health center preferred), current food protection manager certification (ServSafe or equivalent), working knowledge of CMS food service and sanitation regulations
- Understanding of therapeutic and texture-modified diets (IDDSI Knowledge preferred)
- Sanitation certification within 90 days
