Title: Dietary Aide
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full-Time/37.5 hours per week
Work Schedule: 12PM - 8PM, Monday - Friday with rotating weekends
Wage Rate: $17 - $18.50 per hour, based on experience
Sign-On Bonus: $500 paid in 2 increments, 6 months & 12 months
Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality focused Dietary Aide to join our team! This position is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.

- Washes silver, glass, china in dish machines in pantries as per regulation.
- Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders.
- Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms.
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order.
- Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
- Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.
- Ensures that orders match Physician’s diet orders.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
- Ability to plan and organize work set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
- Food Service Hander Certification Required.
- One year of dietary or server experience at a senior living community.
Salary : $17 - $19
