Security Watch is seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Commander to oversee security operations at the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). This role involves managing daily security operations, ensuring compliance with all contract requirements, and serving as the central point of contact for all security-related matters.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contracting Officer (KO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the security contract.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met to the highest standards of service.
- Develop and submit work schedules, ensuring coverage for all required positions.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required.
Security Operations:
- Supervise and designate security personnel, ensuring all guards are trained, qualified, and maintain proficiency in required skills.
- Manage security incidents and coordinate with NETL representatives as needed.
- Maintain discipline and high performance among all security personnel.
Compliance and Training:
- Ensure all security guards complete mandatory training programs and maintain required certifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training plans for new hires and ongoing development for current personnel.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in security or law enforcement, including at least 2 years in supervisory roles.
- Education:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field (e.g., security management, law enforcement).
- Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a background check as part of the U.S. Access credentialing process.
- Must pass a medical exam, drug screening, and physical exam in accordance with federal requirements.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Proficient in using computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite.
