Compensation
First 90 Days (Probationary Period): $18.62/hour.
Regular Pay: $25.88/hour $5.00 health & welfare allowance shift differential, totaling over $30.88/hour.
Essential Functions
Read and understand the English language to interpret effectively and apply printed rules, orders, instructions, and training materials.
Communicate clearly and professionally in spoken and written English, including via electronic devices such as phones and radios.
Maintain a professional, tactful, and courteous demeanor in stressful situations.
Compose clear and concise written reports in English.
Job Duties
Perform routine security patrols.
Enforce access control procedures to ensure restricted areas remain secure.
Protect property from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
Investigate incidents and generate detailed reports on accidents, suspicious activities, safety issues, and fire hazards.
Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in line with department procedures.
Additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Candidate Qualifications
U.S. Citizen.
Proficient in English.
At least 25 years of age.
Prior security experience.
Capable of performing duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion, including self-defense, tactical exercises, and weaponless defense.
Client approval required.
Additional Qualifications
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment medical exam and drug screening.
Must pass NLIC, state, and local background checks as well as a credit check (as applicable).
Security personnel must meet the following medical and physical fitness requirements to qualify:
General Physical Requirements
Be fully capable of performing duties involving moderate to arduous physical exertion.
Demonstrate the ability to self-defend, respond to tactical exercises, and handle emergency scenarios effectively.
Medical Fitness Standards
No medical condition should impair the officer's ability to safely perform the essential functions of the role.
Pass a pre-employment physical examination to assess physical stamina and readiness.
Vision Standards
Distant visual acuity of at least 20/30 in each eye, corrected or uncorrected.
Near visual acuity of at least 20/40 in each eye, corrected or uncorrected.
Ability to distinguish basic colors and peripheral vision of at least 70 degrees horizontally in each eye.
Hearing Standards
No hearing loss greater than 30 decibels at frequencies between 500 and 2,000 Hz in the better ear.
Ability to hear conversational speech at a distance of 6 feet.
Additional Fitness Requirements
Capability to lift, carry, or drag objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Stamina to conduct patrols and stand for extended periods.
Adequate mobility and flexibility to respond to emergencies
