Security Watch, Inc. is seeking experienced and mission-driven Level III Armed Security Officers to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) across declared disaster zones in Tom Green County, Texas. Officers will be assigned to various FEMA temporary and fixed facilities, including Disaster Recovery Centers, Joint Field Offices, urban search and Rescue Staging Areas, and Responder Lodging Locations.
This is a high-visibility, critical role requiring prompt mobilization, professional conduct, and unwavering situational awareness to safeguard personnel, property, and mission integrity during emergency response operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed posts and perform roving patrols at FEMA facilities.
- Monitor ingress/egress, screen personnel and vehicles, and enforce site-specific post orders.
- Provide initial response to incidents and summon emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain access logs and incident reports per DHS Form 139 protocols.
- Assist with traffic control, crowd management, and emergency evacuations.
- Support security oversight in Responder Lodging sites, including verifying credentials and enforcing access restrictions.
- Perform duties per FEMA Occupant Emergency Plans and Post Assignment Orders.
- Maintain compliance with FEMA’s security protocols, emergency procedures, and fitness adjudication standards.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma, GED, or military service transcript
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or active military service
- Active firearms license/permit (Federal, State, and Local as applicable)
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED
- Current OC or baton certification
- Physically able to perform patrols, emergency responses, and physically restrain individuals if required
- Ability to pass FEMA Tier 3 (T3) background investigation and receive favorable adjudication
Locations of Assignment Include
- San Angelo, TX
- Joint Field Offices, Temporary Housing Units, Mobile Operations, and Base Camps across all Texas counties as disaster needs arise
Work Schedule
- Rotating 8-12-hour shifts
- Must be flexible and available for extended deployment periods
- Officers may be required to mobilize within 24–48 hours of notification

- Must be available for post-award briefings and readiness drills.
- Must comply with FEMA’s Use of Force and Rules of Engagement policy.
