General Statement of Job
The Help Desk Support Tier 1 will perform analysis of potential issues/problems and assist with corrective action to restore functionality; providing technical support for any recurring problems and issues with applications on a day-to-day basis.
Essential Job Functions:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and performing test activities on various computer equipment and computer network systems.
- Set up software on client's computers; install software, patches, and drivers; prepare and deploy software packages.
- Consult with and assists manufacturer's representatives in the installation of new computer equipment; assisting other technicians or the manager in repairing, installing and testing complex equipment or local area networks.
- Complete work orders such as installing equipment or software, connecting and moving devices.
- Documenting troubleshooting efforts, identifying issues, gathering information and employing fixes.
- Generating reports from the ticketing system or other management systems.
- Analyzing and diagnosing hardware, software, and operator problems.
- Troubleshooting of basic network connectivity issues of end point devices like desktop computers, laptops, phones, and printers; Configures and deploys printers and in office network hardware.
- Providing exceptional customer service; maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
- Decommissioning of systems using accepted data hygiene practices.
- Performing all duties as assigned by supervisor.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a passion for IT and providing help desk support
- Be currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology (or recent graduate)
- Have functional knowledge of Windows Environment and most common Windows applications
- Have functional knowledge of Apple Macintosh Operating System and Mac applications.
- Have functional knowledge of iPhone hardware and IOS including Android
- Be familiar with VOIP and desks phone
- Be familiar with IT Service Desk/ Help Desk ticketing systems
- Have ability to manage multiple projects/customers at any given time
- Professionalism and customer service focus.

- Verbal Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings.
