Job Skills / Requirements
The Operations Manager – West Region manages security operations for assigned client accounts across California and the Western Region. This role oversees daily operations, client service, staffing, scheduling, training, payroll support, safety, compliance, and workforce performance while ensuring service delivery meets company standards, client requirements, California BSIS regulations, local licensing rules, and applicable labor and safety laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee daily security operations, site coverage, client service, and operational performance across assigned locations.
· Maintain client relationships, handle escalations, conduct site visits, inspections, audits, and operational reviews.
· Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, supervise, coach, and retain qualified employees.
· Manage schedules, staffing levels, labor utilization, overtime, timekeeping, payroll accuracy, and workforce efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with California BSIS requirements, Guard Card standards, training timelines, certification records, licensing, badge, posting, and audit documentation.
· Coordinate initial, 30-day, six-month, annual, city, county, and municipal licensing requirements; track expirations and begin renewals at least 90 days in advance.
· Report new hires and terminations within required timeframes and partner with the Qualified Manager and internal teams on audits and renewals.
· Support California OSHA compliance, workplace violence prevention, harassment prevention training, safety initiatives, wage-and-hour compliance, labor law requirements, and related operational risk controls.
· Support regional growth through leads, site walks, presentations, proposals, and new account transitions.
· Manage the assigned operating budget, monitor monthly performance, support billing accuracy, and review expenditures within delegated authority.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of multi-site supervisory or operations management experience, including California security operations experience.
· Preferred: 5 or more years of security industry experience.
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Must possess, obtain, and maintain all California and assigned jurisdiction licenses and security certifications, including a pistol permit if required.
· Maintain a valid driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record that meets company standards.
· Preferred: CPP, PSP, B2B sales or business development experience, 24/7 operations management, military, corrections, or certified law enforcement experience.

Working Conditions
· Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call availability, and after-hours emergency support as needed.
· Stand or sit for at least one hour, walk one-half mile, climb 20 commercial facility stairs, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
· Perform office work requiring computer, phone, visual, and auditory communication abilities. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
