About the Role:
Security Engineers, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized Administrative & Compliance Coordinator to support regional security operations in Torrance, California. This on-site role helps keep workforce onboarding, licensing, training, safety, and compliance records accurate, timely, and audit-ready while supporting operational growth and client service.
The coordinator manages key stages of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding documentation, Guard Card verification, training and certification tracking, file audits, badge and posting records, and separation documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across operations, human resources, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Employee Records: Coordinate new-hire onboarding, verify required credentials, complete employee documentation, and maintain accurate physical and digital personnel files.
- Systems & Data Management: Accurately enter and track onboarding, licensing, background-check, training, certification, and employment data in internal platforms, including WinTeam.
- Employee Lifecycle Documentation: Organize separation paperwork, disciplinary records, performance documentation, and related branch files in accordance with company requirements.
- Corporate & Branch Coordination: Serve as a branch point of contact for requests for information, audits, renewals, and HR or operations data verification.
Compliance, Training & Licensing
- Ensure compliance with California BSIS requirements, Guard Card standards, training timelines, and certification records.
- Maintain audit-ready licensing, training, badge, posting, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate verification of required initial, 30-day, 6-month, annual, city, county, and municipal licensing and training requirements.
- Partner with the Qualified Manager and internal teams to prepare for audits, inspections, and renewals.
Safety, Risk & Business Support
- Support California OSHA compliance, workplace violence prevention, harassment prevention training, and other safety initiatives.
- Monitor wage-and-hour compliance, labor requirements, state and local requirements, and related operational risks.
- Support regional growth, client engagement, proposal development, service expansion, and transition planning.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in administration, HR compliance, onboarding, licensing, training coordination, or security operations; contract security or staffing-industry experience is preferred.
- California Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with BSIS Guard Card, training, licensing, recordkeeping, and audit requirements is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce-management or HR systems; WinTeam experience is a plus.
- Organization & Judgment: Demonstrated attention to detail, confidentiality, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing deadlines and secure records.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with employees, field leaders, clients, the Qualified Manager, and corporate partners.
