Armed Security Officer - Part-Time
ARMED SECURITY OFFICER
Wednesday-Saturday (10:00am-6:00pm)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Armed security officer (must pass Armed training, have valid pistol permit).
- IF this is a driving post (must have good MVR).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ability to work Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), if needed.
- A curious nature that helps you to remain aware of the activities around you.
- Provide excellent customer service, assisting and addressing the concerns of visitors and employees.
- The ability to remain calm, solve problems, and act effectively in a critical situation.
- Conduct regular walking patrols to improve the safety of individuals and proactively identify and report security concerns.
- Monitor facility access points, employing verification procedures to authenticate the identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting premises, in support of a secure environment.
- Maintain precise and detailed logs documenting activities, incidents, and notable observations, facilitating comprehensive reporting and analysis for enhanced security measures.
- Must have basic computer experience and the ability to use a tablet to conduct security reports.
- Enforce security procedures in the relevant Security Post Instruction.
- Execute routine tasks with proficiency, such as securely locking and unlocking doors, activating, and deactivating security systems, and diligently monitoring surveillance feeds for signs of potential threats or breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and other incidents, utilizing appropriate actions and established protocols.
- Always look professional in a clean and pressed uniform.?
- Informs and ensures compliance of SEI and Clients policies, such as smoking, loitering, parking violations, etc.?
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Minimum Qualifications:
- The State of Alabama requires that you must have or obtain and maintain a valid Security Officer/Guard License issued by the Alabama Security Regulatory Board when providing any regulated activities in the State of Alabama
- This role requires you to operate a motor vehicle. You must have and maintain a valid driver's license from your state of residence for this role
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Stand and sit for long periods of time
- Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping
- Climb a minimum of 20 common commercial facility stairs without stopping

- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: None
- Preferred:
- Education: HS Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 Year Armed Security
