As an Supervisory Immigration Services Officer, you will be supervising a group of Immigration Services Officers who are responsible for processing national security referrals in accordance with agency policy and adjudicating applications & petitions for various benefits and privileges under the law.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 05/01/2026.
GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. - Providing technical and administrative direction to staff responsible for national security referrals, fraud detection, and the adjudication of immigration applications and petitions.
- Developing innovative ideas to resolve problems to meet established goals and objectives for program effectiveness and legal compliance.
- Overseeing staff making final determinations on complex immigration programs as they relate to the Immigration and Naturalization Act.
- Managing a staff that implements and incorporates immigration regulations that conforms to agency policy, legal, and technical requirements.
