We are currently seeking an experienced Event Manager to oversee and coordinate security operations for corporate and large-scale events. This role will partner closely with internal security teams, client stakeholders, and event organizers to ensure all events are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
Position Summary
The Event Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing event security operations for a variety of corporate events, conferences, and large-scale gatherings. This role provides leadership and direction to event security teams while serving as the primary point of contact for event stakeholders.
The Event Manager ensures all event operations adhere to safety protocols, security standards, and operational best practices. This position requires strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, and a proactive approach to risk management and stakeholder communication.
This is a full-time exempt role that may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
- Lead planning and coordination of security operations for corporate events, conferences, and large gatherings.
- Understand event objectives, audience needs, and operational requirements to guide security planning and execution.
- Develop detailed event plans including staffing requirements, timelines, and deployment strategies.
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage event budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Coordinate staffing, equipment, and logistics required for each event.
Venue Assessment & Security Planning
- Evaluate venues and event locations to determine security needs and operational considerations.
- Collaborate with site security leadership to develop appropriate security plans.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Securitas, event organizers, and client stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing updates regarding event logistics, staffing, and security readiness.
Operational Oversight
- Coordinate with site leads, account managers, and security personnel to ensure proper staffing and execution during events.
- Monitor event activity and address operational issues in real time.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to maintain safety and operational continuity.
- Ensure all events comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Team Leadership
- Provide direction and support to event security teams.
- Delegate responsibilities and provide performance feedback to ensure operational excellence.
Post-Event Reporting
- Conduct post-event evaluations and prepare reports summarizing event performance, security outcomes, and areas for improvement.
- Review event budgets and assist with financial reconciliation.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in event management, operations, or security-related environments.
- Experience managing corporate events, conferences, or large-scale gatherings preferred.
- Security or protective services experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to make real-time decisions and solve problems in fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% for event coordination and oversight.
