Schedule: Fri - Sun 2300 - 0700, Mon - Tues 0800 - 1600

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Assistant Security Director supports the Security Director in overseeing all supervisory training and operational functions at the assigned post, ensuring adherence to post orders, client requirements, and internal policies.
The position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by managing the security services and related operations including client service and problem resolution, service enhancement and expansion, new business development, operational effectiveness, preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision and training.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory Support: Assist the Account Manager in coordinating both technical and managerial aspects of executing security contracts at the assigned location. This includes assigning tasks to Security Professionals and providing daily directions.

  • Supervision and Development: Serve as the first point of contact for shift supervisors (if applicable) or Security Professionals, addressing performance issues, operational needs, and departmental requirements. Provide guidance, coaching, training, and performance evaluations for staff.

  • Post Order Maintenance: Ensure that Post Order manuals and other relevant documents are kept up-to-date, and that the post is well-maintained, organized, and clean.

  • Training and Onboarding: Assist the Account Manager in interviewing and evaluating new hires. Coordinate with Shift Supervisors to conduct on-the-job training for new employees, including orientation, post order review, and emergency protocols.

  • Documentation and Communication: Oversee all security reports, logs, and shift handovers, ensuring timely and accurate documentation. Communicate relevant information to Security Professionals on-site as needed.

  • Facility Oversight: Manage security sub-units, including the fire control room, command center, and loading docks (where applicable). Generate work orders for additional security coverage when necessary.

  • Incident Management: Respond to minor incidents (internal or client-related), ensuring proper action is taken, reports are completed, and necessary parties are notified promptly.

  • Employee Relations: Identify and address any personnel issues (e.g., payroll, employee complaints) and escalate to the Account Manager or Field Supervisor. Assist with investigations and documentation as needed.

  • Emergency Response: Respond to site emergencies, ensuring clear communication with the Account Manager, Field Supervisor, and relevant managers. Maintain strong client relationships through frequent contact and proactive support.

  • Security Professional Support: Occasionally perform security duties (e.g., standing post), but not exceeding 50% of workweek hours.

 

Account Manager Requirements: 

  • Education & Experience: Minimum high school diploma required. Some college or business courses are preferred. 3-5 years of professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military required. Experience in scheduling or operations is a plus.
  • Valid state Guard License required (or in the process of obtaining one)
  • Driver’s License: Clean driving record (no points in the last 3 years) and the ability to operate a company vehicle safely.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Calm, polite, and professional behavior 
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • High level business and management knowledge.  

All candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check!

As an Assistant Security Director you will be performing a variety of management functions for assigned accounts; while providing lead direction to Security Supervisors on requirements, priorities of work and coordinating any necessary needs of the site. If you have experience in positions like Operations Manager, Site Supervisor or Account Manager this role is a great fit for you.
