ABOUT THE ROLE

Secrets Cocktail Garden is a luxury two-story restaurant and cocktail lounge in the heart of Jackson Ward, Richmond, VA. We are looking for a high-energy performer to bring our original character ROSE to life on the floor. ROSE is a custom branded Pink Rabbit character exclusive to Secrets — and the right person will make every guest feel like they just walked into something unforgettable.

This is not a kids' event role. This is adult nightlife. You move with the DJ, engage guests during bottle service and birthday moments, and turn the room up every single shift. When you are not performing, you are part of the team — running food, assisting with drinks, and supporting the venue wherever needed.

SCHEDULE

• Wednesday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday – Saturday: 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Shifts range from 7 to 10 hours per day depending on the night

Must be available for your scheduled shifts. Reliability is non-negotiable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform as ROSE in a full custom mascot suit during nightlife hours
• Dance on stage and move with the DJ to elevate the energy of the room
• Engage guests during bottle service, birthday celebrations, and featured moments
• Use body movement and non-verbal performance to entertain an adult crowd
• Follow the theme of the night and take direction from management
• Protect the ROSE character image and follow all Secrets branding guidelines
• Keep the suit clean and stored properly after every shift
• Run food and assist with beverages when not actively performing
• Support the restaurant and lounge team in any capacity during slower moments

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 21 years of age or older required
• Dance, theater, or performance experience with strong stage presence
• Bartending experience preferred , a plus that sets you apart
• Nightlife experience in an upscale or high-volume setting
• High stamina, you will be performing energetic routines in a full suit
• Outgoing, expressive, and able to improvise in the moment
• Team player who can shift between performer and support staff seamlessly
• Professional, reliable, and able to take direction well

COMPENSATION

$100 flat rate per day | Contract / Gig Based

Shifts range from 6 to 10 hours depending on the night

• This role may require portraying characters of various genders, including a female persona. Are you comfortable taking on that aspect of the performance?
• This position involves performing and dancing to hip-hop and upbeat music in front of live audiences. How much experience do you have dancing in that style, and are you comfortable performing it publicly?
• How many years of experience do you have performing as a mascot or in a costumed character role?
• The mascot costume is a fixed size and is designed to fit individuals approximately 5'4" or shorter. Based on that requirement, would you be able to safely and comfortably wear the costume?
