Job Overview
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our faith-based early childhood program. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with children, a heart for ministry, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered learning environment.
As a Preschool Teacher, you will work as part of a team to provide high-quality early childhood education while supporting the spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development of each child. This position may also support our school-age summer program During the schools summer vacation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan/implement age-appropriate, Christ-centered curriculum and activities
- Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
- Meet the individual needs of each child (feeding, toileting, rest, play, and learning)
- Maintain daily communication with parents using Brightwheel
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, organization, and sanitation daily
- Follow all state licensing (DFPS) minimum standards and school policies
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers and staff
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and attendance
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development

- Active role requiring standing, bending, and engaging with children
- Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Cell phone use is restricted during work hours
- Commitment to creating a positive, respectful environment for children, families, and staff
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, behavior management, and childhood development.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management within private or public school environments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous classroom experience involving teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus.

- Ability to model positive behavior and Christian values
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet Texas childcare licensing requirements
- Certification or coursework related to early childhood education will be considered an asset.
Pay: From $9.50 per hour
