About the Role
The Repair Technician Supervisor oversees a small team of technicians responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing Apple devices in a high-volume warehouse environment. This role ensures daily workflow efficiency, quality standards, and team performance while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive workspace. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise with Apple products, leadership experience, and a passion for building a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 4–5 repair technicians in daily operations.
- Assign and prioritize repair tasks to meet production goals and turnaround times.
- Train new team members on Apple repair techniques, diagnostic tools, and established procedures.
- Conduct regular performance check-ins, provide coaching, and support growth within the team.
Technical Expertise
- Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on Apple hardware, including Mac computers and iPads.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex repairs or quality concerns.
- Ensure technicians follow proper repair protocols and safety guidelines.
Quality Control & Workflow Management
- Monitor repair accuracy, device condition, and adherence to quality standards.
- Implement best practices to improve consistency, reduce rework, and increase throughput.
- Maintain accurate tracking of repairs, parts usage, and completed work.
Warehouse Coordination
- Work closely with Operations team to ensure smooth intake and output of devices.
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and repair supplies; report shortages or equipment needs.
- Help uphold a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track daily productivity metrics and provide reports to management.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Support company initiatives to scale operations and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Required
- 2 years of hands-on experience repairing Apple products.
- Previous leadership or team supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of Apple hardware and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Apple certifications (ACiT, ACMT, ACSP, etc.).
- Experience working in a warehouse or refurbishing operation.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems or repair tracking software.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Repetitive hand and wrist motions for repair tasks.
