What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Technician position at Second Family Inc?
Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
The CMT is under the direction of the RN Supervisor and the LPN to provide all aspects of medication administrartion to patient care according to individualized client needs in confromance with recognized nusing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practical nursing. The CMT will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Administers prescrbed medications to patients and maintains rlated medical records under supervision of the RN,
- Presents medication to pateint and observes ingestion or ogher application, or administers medication using specified procedures,
- Documents resons prescribed drugs are not administered,
- May receive supply of ordered medications an apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to patients,
- May record and restock midication inventories,
- Assist nursed in providing patient care through personal care, which will include personal hygiene assistance, assistance in preparing meals and feeding, and assistance in bathroom, and
- All other assigned duties.
Salary : $17 - $20
