Second Bloom Events Company LLC is looking for friendly, reliable, detail-oriented Event Assistants to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creative environments, hands-on work, and helping bring meaningful celebrations to life. No previous event experience is required! Just a great attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work well under direction.
About the Role
As an Event Assistant, you’ll support the setup, styling, breakdown, and smooth execution of events such as weddings, showers, proposals, and birthday parties. You’ll work closely with the owner to bring décor concepts to life, help keep event days organized, and ensure clients feel cared for and stress-free.
This is an on-call, as-needed position, ideal for someone seeking flexible work, weekend hours, or occasional creative opportunities.
Second Bloom Event Company is based in Endicott, NY, but serves the 607 area, as well as Eastern Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup, including décor placement, table settings, signage, and styling
- Support tear-down and cleanup after events
- Follow design plans, placement guides, and direction from the lead planner
- Handle décor items with care and maintain an organized workspace
- Assist with loading/unloading vehicles and transporting décor
- Help troubleshoot simple event-day needs
- Maintain a professional, kind, and client-friendly presence
- Stay flexible and positive when plans shift on short notice
- Occasionally assist with prepping décor or organizing materials before events
Qualifications
- No prior event experience required — training provided
- Must be available for weekends and occasional evenings
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, bending, carrying décor, and being on your feet for long periods of time
- Reliable transportation to event locations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow creative direction
- Positive attitude, adaptability, and professionalism
