Job Summary
The Social Media Specialist & Event Coordinator is responsible for managing the dealership’s online presence while planning and executing internal and external events that promote the brand, drive engagement, and support sales and employee morale. This role combines creative content creation with strong organizational and communication skills to enhance the dealership’s visibility in the community and across digital platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Digital Marketing
- Manage and maintain dealership social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Create engaging content including photos, videos, reels, stories, and captions that align with dealership branding
- Highlight inventory, promotions, events, employees, customer experiences, and community involvement
- Monitor comments, messages, and reviews; respond professionally and in a timely manner
- Coordinate with sales, service, and management teams to promote campaigns and initiatives
- Track social media performance metrics and provide insights or recommendations for improvement
- Ensure brand consistency, compliance, and professionalism across all platforms
Event Coordination
- Plan, organize, and execute dealership events such as sales events, customer appreciation days, employee recognition events, community fundraisers, and sponsorship activations
- Coordinate logistics including vendors, catering, signage, giveaways, schedules, and promotional materials
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure successful event execution
- Promote events through social media, email, and in-store communications
- Attend events as needed to manage setup, execution, and breakdown
- Track event outcomes and provide feedback or post-event summaries
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with basic marketing materials (flyers, signage, digital ads) as needed
- Support dealership community outreach and charitable initiatives
- Maintain an organized content calendar and event schedule
- Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in social media management, marketing, communications, or event planning preferred
- Experience in automotive, retail, or customer-facing industries is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with an eye for branding and visual storytelling
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient with social media platforms and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for events
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to attend and assist with on-site events
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift event materials as needed
- Reliable transportation for off-site events or community activities
