Accounting Clerk/General Accountant

SEBCO Laundry Systems is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented General Accounting Clerk to support our accounting department. This position assists with daily transactions, maintains accurate financial records, and helps keep accounting operations organized and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Enter and verify invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices and applying payments.
• Review invoices and supporting documents for accuracy and follow up on discrepancies.
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain organized accounting records, vendor files, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding billing and payment questions.
• Assist with month-end reporting, account research, and audit preparation.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or an associate degree is a plus.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or related clerical experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort learning accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accurate data entry.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
