Job Title: Store Manager
Job Summary:
The Store Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the store. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base. The Store Manager will work closely with the owner to maintain store merchandise inventory. The Store Manager will impact the overall bottom line by maintaining optimal staffing levels, recruiting, hiring, educating, and motivating a team.
The Store Manager is responsible for setting the example for customer engagement that exceeds industry standards. They will maximize store profitability by controlling expenses, protecting company assets, and by ensuring that store standards and processes for merchandising, operations, and community participation are well executed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create and provide positive guest experiences in keeping with the store’s core values and brand image.
- Train, coach, guide, and educate staff. Effectively work to provide clear direction, and support staff regarding sales initiatives and programs.
- Will work closely with the owner to order and enter store merchandise into the POS system
- Will be responsible for processing sales and addressing customer service requests
- Order and maintain store and office supplies
- Maintains and reports an accurate inventory
- Maintain accurate customer database
- Respond promptly to all telephone calls and email inquiries from customers
- Maintain optimal staffing levels
- Participates at special events held onsite or in the local community.
- Establish strong relationships with vendors/suppliers.
- Work with accounting department on coordinating necessary bank deposits
- Work with accounting department to report daily sales
- Supervises and works closely with all retail associates to help this role prioritize and carry out responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
- Provides clear and concise direction and support to retail sales associates
- Update and maintain all SKUs in POS System

- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to work weekends and flexible schedules
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: 3 -4 years of Retail Experience Preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Valid California Class C driver’s license.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to communicate in basic Spanish desirable.
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Office, POS systems, etc
Knowledge: Familiarity with the Retail Industry *(may learn on the job with sufficient interest)
Equipment: Typical office equipment; vehicles.

The work environment consists of most of the employee’s time spent on the sales floor or in the office.
