What you get to do:

As a Building Automation Controls Technician, you will:

  • Perform routine daily inspections of all control systems in the park.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control systems in the park.
  • Setup and install control systems for new and existing units.
  • Set up schedule and adjust set points for controls with minimal supervision.
  • Perform bench and field repair of control systems throughout the park.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Electrical wiring/devices, motor overhauls and maintenance/troubleshooting of controls and other automated equipment and monitoring devices.
  • Utilize the necessary tools required by this position including but not limited to: Multimeter, Network testers, basic hand tools, drills, saws, and other devices.
  • Perform duties including but not limited to safety, environmental, asset management and other administrative documentation.
  • Use chemicals and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize safe handling, storage, and disposal practices with toxic substances and hazardous waste.
  • Responsible for adhering to all trainings related to SOP’s, safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company standards.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required including assisting other locations, departments, and areas in the park, as needed.
  • Provide exceptional, professional guest service in a team environment.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License and able to meet our company’s driving guidelines.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC Systems including Hydronics and Air systems.
  • Electrical experience in Low voltage controls, devices and installation.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on and interpret manufacturers’ manuals.
  • Possess or be able to obtain certification to operate mechanical devices including, forklift, man-lift within 90 days of acceptance of position and maintain certification.
  • Ability to work through problems using various troubleshooting methods.
  • Have a working knowledge of various building/installation codes as well as OSHA regulations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong Mathematical skills.
  • Excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectation, and needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings.
  • Working knowledge of hand, and power tools.

What else is important:

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
  • Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
  • Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
